A carriage driven by a small halfling man named Stein Hutter embarked on a journey to the East. On his travels, a strange individual wielding a giant longsword known as Vore sought transportation to the eastern side of the continent, and after exchanging some coins, Vore was able to ride in the carriage with him. After some time, getting closer to the wetlands in the east, another traveler in need of a ride signals the carriage to stop and upon discussing with the driver, is allowed a seat in the back with Vore. This individual, known as Nero(Narrow), starts making small talk with Vore as they enter the outskirts of the Lonnet Wetlands. Entering the dark and gloomy swamp, they are soon met with some trouble, trouble in the form of young bandits seeking any possessions they can get their hands on. Vore upon trying to de-escalate the situation, causes one of the bandits to shoot Stein in the chest, and he off of the carriage. A fight quickly ensues, while at the same time, a young woman is looking for some glowing flowers for Mr. and Mrs. Phenon. However, hearing the commotion from afar, goes to investigate the noises, and finds herself wrapped in a battle. These three mysterious individuals work together to subdue the bandits before they strike a deal letting the bandits leave with wounded pride and loss of a younger member. Talking about the event that occurred and the strange woman who showed up, they decide to get back on the road and travel to the town of Kelop. Upon arriving, the adventures notice that the town, surrounded by a wooden wall, is overgrown by plants and weeds. A rundown town, that is filled with chaos of arguing, stealing, and assault unfolds in front of the carriage, as it rides past to the nearby tavern of Sunken Mud. In this inn and tavern, which is more lavish and clean than the outside, the owners Jadmir and Hamel allow the adventures a night stay, in exchange for some coin. Before departing for bed, the adventures learn about the change in ownership within the past couple of years, which saddens Stein. Yet, Vore grabs a woman named Jessica and takes her back to his room… get it on. While Nero finds sleep in his own room, Sunny enjoys the stary night on top of the tavern roof.
